My Story

After helping run the family business for several years I flew the nest and started my long arduous jump into hospitality. A move from hospitality into wine seemed to be organic so I took the plunge with both hands.

A stint working for a niche on-trade import business gave me the most educational, if at times hard, ride. They say you can never stop learning, but here you learnt from the ground (or soil) up. I met more or less every producer whose wine I sold, and tasted countless vintages. It was absolutely fascinating. All of the growers were driven purely by the passion for their craft and environment, and for me that was, and still is, truly inspiring.

I have a soft spot for Spanish and French, but have found lots of other gems from other countries.
